Why is my extremely itchy skin (prickly heat) when sweating or hot? Please help!?
Hello everyone. My ability to work comfortably in a gym or Excel is physically prevented me from itching of the skin that develops when heated or sweat. The condition is more similar to similar to mine is called cholinergic urticaria but did not get hives, redness or anything visible, unbearable itching or just extremely wide sudamen body. Does anyone here has had a similar problem or know of any cure or treatment for either counter or prescription? Please help! My diet has changed over the years so I do not think it is a thing of the diet. At this point is: Morning: Porridge, fruit, green tea Lunch: yogurt, fruit, water Dinner: vegetables., Quorn / Fish Snack: Muesli / cereal, green tea
Hello, I hate to inform, but I think you have cholinergic urticaria. I suffer from CU and depending on the temperature or the severity of the attack, I can not have visible hives to be absolutely covered in them. I live in eastern Canada, where we have four seasons. I've noticed my CU disappears completely in the hot summer months, is shown as a minor annoyance in the autumn and hits me full force in the winter. (Spring and fall is over) So more or less as I said, I could not see anything appear on your skin depending on their conditions. As for a cure or treatment … hmm. Even doctors are puzzel regarding this issue. I'm on antihistamines, which have little or no effect and alternative treatments such as acupuncture and medications have proven to be ineffective homopathic. They say excercisng (sweating) a lot can help acclimate the body, but from what I read this works for some and not others. My trick is when I feel an outbreak coming on, to try to lower body temperature, putting my hand in cold water and try to absorb my skin to simulate sweat. I also carry around a frozen water bottle in my backpack to rub on the skin if I am somewhere not near a sink. Moreover, after doing some internet searches, I found an article that CU can suffer like me a glimmer of hope for a successful treatment method. Good luck
